support us

Marrugeku relies on a broad mix of income sources, like all non-profit arts companies. Performance fees earned in Australia and around the world are a vital component and we work hard to achieve them. Grants from state and federal governments and NGOs are likewise a key factor in our continued operations. As well, Marrugeku enjoys wonderfully productive partnerships with organisations across Australia and around the world that commission or co-commission our work. Nevertheless, all these never quite match the need. There remain projects and programs that do not attract fees or box office revenue and which may fall between the cracks in public funding.

More and more we rely on the generosity of individual donors to help fill that gap. In the last twelve months such contributions have enabled Marrugeku to undertake youth workshops in the Kimberley, an intercultural choreographic laboratory in New Caledonia and to begin a three-year mentorship program for mid-career dance makers across Australia.

Your support will help us continue this work and ensure a productive future for our dynamic company.
