Cut the Sky explores Indigenous and non-Indigenous perspectives on climate change, moving back and forwards across time to ask how we value what is above and below the earth’s crust. Following the world premiere at Perth Festival, the 1st European tour and a remote Kimberley tour all in 2015, the project’s life continued in 2016 with three prestigious presentations by Sydney Festival in the Sydney Opera House, at Performance Climates conference and festival presented by Arts House Melbourne and Performance Studies International, and at the Waan Pacific Dance Festival at Centre Tjibaou Nouméa.
During Performing Climates in Melbourne Dalisa and Rachael presented Listening to Country Two, a public plenary on Indigenous knowledges, performance and climate change together with guest speakers, Charles Ahukaramu Royal and Helen Gilbert, moderated by David Pledger.
