Our stunning multi-channel video and sound installation, Gudirr Gudirr will premiere at The National: New Australian Art next year alongside an incredible cohort of contemporary artists from across the country. Originating as a compelling solo stage performance starring our Co-Director Dalisa Pigram, Gudirr Gudirr has been transformed into a stunning three-screen installation directed by Vernon Ah Kee. Considering the legacy of Australia’s history for Aboriginal people in northwest Australia, Gudirr Gudirr questions what it takes to decolonise Aboriginal peoples’ minds, to unlock doors and face cultural change.
Following an impressive preview at Shinju Matsuri in Broome, we’re excited to share this performance with Sydney audiences next March.
