Social Media Coordinator
Malati is a Boorloo (Perth)-based dancer, actor, and multidisciplinary artist. She is a proud Noongar and Bardi Jawi woman, with Malaysian heritage. Malati graduated from WAAPA, completing a Certificate IV in Aboriginal Theatre, and now works as a freelance artist across performance and film. Her practice is grounded in culture, ancestral knowledge, and a deep sense of care and connection. Guided by feeling, she moves intuitively through her work, often tapping into the unknown. As a Blak artist, Malati is committed to storytelling as a way of carrying knowledge forward. She creates to honour those who came before her and to inspire her mob and future generations to keep going and believe.
Malati joined Marrugeku as Social Media Coordinator in 2025, as well as an Emerging Artist, both being avenues to share the stories of her mob.
