Marrugeku profiles trans-Indigenous and intercultural exchange in contemporary dance to stimulate new cultural pathways to choreographic practice. In September we presented the 4th in our series of intercultural Indigenous Choreographic Laboratories after IICL1 Sydney, IICL2 Broome and IICL3 Auckland. The two guest choreographers for IICL4 were Jecko Siompo (Indonesia) and Serge Aimé Coulibaly (Burkina Faso/Belgium), and the invited dancers came from Australia, Indonesia and New Caledonia.
