Our triple bill Burrbgaja Yalirra has been on the road for the month of June with performances in the South West and North West of WA. Audiences in the regional and very remote communities of Mandurah, Margaret River down south and Mowanjum and Ardyaloon/One Arm Point in the Kimberley have been treated to performances by Marrugeku’s associate artists along with workshop programs and post show Q&As to discuss processes of making community and culturally informed contemporary dance. Marrugeku has been touring to remote communities in the Kimberley since 2012 and has fostered a “dance track” with repeat performances in five communities to date.
