Our multi-dimensional performance Cut The Sky blends video, poetry and dance for a breathtaking performance in the wake of environmental devastation. Examining the fragility of humanity, revisiting Cut the Sky in light of the past months is a cogent reminder that for First Peoples dystopian futures of environmental destruction, displacement, lack of access to resources and health supplies is no new experience. Dystopian futures already exist in the colonial past and present for First Peoples around the world. Watch Cut the Sky online with the trailer here and the full length video filmed at KVS in Brussels 2015 here.
Cut the Sky was initiated through a choreographic and visual research laboratory in 2013 titled Listening to Country. Find videos of dance research on Country and symposium presentations here.
