Earlier this year our creative developments shifted into the digital realm as collaboration across Country went online! Collaborating with full-scale projection and sound, rehearsal rooms between Sydney and Broome were pixelated as our company participated in a schedule of classes, choreographic tasks and discussions with our designers and dramaturgs.
Continuing the creation of Jurrungu Ngan-ga (Straight Talk), our team is exploring the disproportionate incarceration of Indigenous Australians alongside firsthand descriptions of life inside Manus Island detention centre. We’ll enter our final development for the work in 2021 before we premiere the work later in the year!
