This June Jurrungu Ngan-ga [Straight Talk] heads to Melbourne as part of RISING Festival. With a whopping 10 performances across two weeks, Naarm audiences will have the chance to check out our mesmerising multimedia performance from Wednesday 1 to Saturday 11 June.
Following a sold-out season in Sydney and a series of free community performances across The Kimberley, Jurrungu Ngan-ga’s RISING Festival season is the next stop in the production’s touring schedule.
Of the Sydney season Jill Sykes at Sydney Morning Herald gave four and a half stars saying “This is an astonishing work in many ways. It tackles two painful themes in today’s Australia: the incarceration of Indigenous people and detainment of asylum seekers… We need the politicians to see this.”
