CUT THE SKY REGIONAL W.A. TOUR, FEB/MAR 2026

From late February to March 2026, Marrugeku toured Cut The Sky across regional Western Australia, travelling through Boorloo/Perth, Jambinu/Geraldton, Goomburrup/Bunbury, and Rubibi/Broome. The tour began in Boorloo with intensive remount rehearsals at the West Australian Ballet studios before moving to Jambinu, where the company performed at Queens Park Theatre, alongside community workshops and engagement activities. In Goomburrup, the work was presented at the Bunbury Regional Entertainment Centre, bringing Marrugeku’s powerful fusion of dance, storytelling and environmental urgency to audiences in the South West. The tour concluded in Rubibi with two sold out performances at the open-air Pigram Garden Theatre, returning the work to Marrugeku’s home on Yawuru Country. Spanning metropolitan, regional and remote communities, the tour reflected Marrugeku’s ongoing commitment to intercultural collaboration, regional exchange and sharing bold contemporary performance across Western Australia.
